Who creates the content in iPi online?
Utility Business Media, the publisher of Incident Prevention Magazine and hosts of the iP Utility Safety Conference recruits leading safety minds in the utility industry to create and present our content. iPi then takes that content and creates learner-friendly formats for you to purchase.
How can I purchase iPi Online content?
There are two ways you can purchase content. One, you can buy any individual item in our catalog. Once purchase, you have unlimited access to that course until it is archived. (A course is only archived if the information in it becomes obsolete due to changes in rules, regulations or procedures).
Two, you can purchase an annual subscription plan that gives you unlimited access to all of the content in our catalog.
After I purchase an item, how much time do I have to watch it?
You have unlimited access to the course with no expiration date. The only exception to this is if we must archive an item due to the information delivered in it being outdated by the implementation of new industry rules and regulations. In other words, if the content in the course is no longer accurate or correct, we will remove it from our catalog.

COURSE DURATION: 1 HOUR | CUSP CREDIT: 1 POINT
A recent study has revealed that only 39 percent of people speak up when they witness something they consider to be unsafe. Why is it such a large percentage of workers remain silent when they or their coworkers are exposed to danger? The RAD Group's Phillip Ragain, uncovers the real reasons why many stay silent in the face of danger and provides some insight in what safety managers can do to improve safety intervention at their organization.
YOU WILL LEARN:
- About real-world stories and situations that reveal the true motivations behind being silent when it comes to safety intervention.
- Why stop work authority isn't enough to motivate workers to speak up.
- How contexts such as production pressure, unit bias, deference to authority and the bystander effect have an impact on how employees prioritize safety.
- How reactance, social incongruence and confirmation bias drive whether or not employees will speak up when dangerous situations arise.
- Some tips and advice on how to motivate your employees to increase their safety intervention rate.
